Network Engineer Level 1 | Cook Islands - Rarotonga
As a Network Engineer Level 1, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and IT teams to ensure optimal network performance and uptime. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals to gain valuable experience and knowledge while working on real-world network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup, configuration, and support of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Perform routine network monitoring and troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
Provide technical support for network-related problems and escalate issues when necessary.
Work closely with senior engineers to assist in network upgrades, installations, and configurations.
Assist with documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and maintenance logs.
Participate in network maintenance tasks such as firmware updates and software patches.
Help maintain network security protocols and monitor for potential threats.
Qualifications:
CompTIA Network+ certification or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A strong desire to learn and grow in the networking field.
Additional Requirements:
Must hold a current Cook Islands drivers licence class A and B.
Ability to travel to sites throughout the Cook Islands.
Flexibility to work outside business hours.
